Why the library ? “The purpose of this collection, which came into being as a result of the intuition and passion of an entrepreneur for the object of his work, is of course to provide an iconographic and informative support for the undertaking in which he is involved. However, the library cherishes an ambition – for which it fills the requirements – to be a documentation centre for the applied arts and a place where people can study in depth the historical and cultural dimension of those techniques that for too long have been defined as minor”.
